Introduction

Ohrah agreed to refine the Soul Stones, but due to the fact that they contain vast amounts of soul energy, a special tool is needed to refine them. After some deliberation, Ohrah hypothesized that only the hammer Mjollnir would suffice. He had asked Hockhees to safeguard Mjollnir after he relinquished the title of Gods' Craftsman.

Each Soul Stone contains a vast amount of soul
energy, so I must use a special tool to process it.
According to my memory, the hammer Mjollnir is the
only device that would do the trick. When I worked
for the Aesir, Thor gave Mjollnir to me. Perhaps he
thought Ragnarok was imminent and he wanted to
give us hope. As you know, I relinquished my title of
Gods' Craftsman so I asked Hockhees to safeguard
Mjollnir instead.
