You need Gem Talismans in order to combine gems. You can use 3, 4, or 5 gems of the same level to combine into a higher level gem. The success rate is 50%, 75%, and 100% respectively. If all gems are the same kind, they will combine into the same kind, but higher level gem. If any of them isn't the same kind as the others, they will combine into a random kind of higher level gem. The amount of Salary you get for Zeal is based on your level. You can get Salary as soon as your Zeal reaches 6000.
